Your new IP Telephony system or "bundle of joy" as we call it, starts its life in one of three, state of the art Quagga staging centers. These facilities - located in Folsom CA, Pleasanton CA and Reno NV - are staffed by Quagga engineers that conduct comprehensive staging services on all Communication Manager, MM, UC and IP Office system orders. Systems are only shipped to end user locations after receiving a clean bill of health from the staging facility.  The standard turnaround interval for staging is 48 hours from the time the equipment is received. Large, multi-site and/or complex configurations can take up to a week to be cleared for installation.

Since Quagga began staging in 2005, mission critical RMA's are down to almost non-existent levels. Additionally, on-site technician time and overall project costs have been reduced by our commitment to the staging process. Staging service includes the following:

  • Perform a complete inventory of your equipment
  • Order any additional or missing equipment if necessary
  • Rack and install all equipment in our lab
  • Serialize all of the equipment
  • Download all software licenses and right to use permissions
  • Perform all software and firmware updates
  • Software translations will be done by assigned Software Specialist.
  • Input all network IP addresses into the system.
  • Burn in the system and run diagnostics to identify any problems
  • Perform a complete test of all hardware and software
